Facebook Wants To Stalk You

In Culture, Friends, Relationships on March 22, 2013 at 4:14 am

I was having problems with my Facebook account loading on my cell phone for the past 2 days so I decided to uninstall the program and install it again. When I went to install the Facebook app, I noticed a few “permissions” that didn’t exist on my last app. Namely, the ones in the screenshot above. My friends and I joke about people using Facebook to stalk each other, but now I’m convinced that Facebook wants to stalk its users. I can’t fathom why Facebook would need to record audio on your phone without your permission or take pictures and video without your permission. I will definitely not be downloading this program onto my phone and I urge all who have social networking apps to look closely at the information (acces to personal pics, geographical location, etc.) that you are giving the application and programmers access to.
