Left Brain vs Right Brain-Which Are You?

I have always found psychology interesting. It’s fascinating to see how theories can offer an explanation and further insight as to who we are as individuals.

I’ve always been a very logical and systematic person. I can sit through hours of reading contracts and not get sidetracked. And I prefer to sit in silence and collect my thoughts as opposed to watching TV in my downtime. I’m a left-brained weirdo.

The left brain vs. right brain theory suggests that people favor one sphere of their brain over the other. Each sphere is designed to cater to certain traits. For example, each sphere has the following qualities:

Left Brained: Logical, analytical, looks at differences, controls feelings, etc. These individuals prefer to do things step-by-step and often avoid errors. The down-side is that left-brained individual’s love for rules and regulations can make them staunch at times and hard to deal with. They sometimes choose to be rigid in inopportune times. Theorists say that they are often involved in banking, politics, museum/culture studies, counseling, etc.

Right Brained: Subjective, intuitive, random, looks at similarities, etc. These individuals focus on creativity and feeling and tend to be disorganized and have poor time management. Theorists often say that right-brained individuals opt to be musicians, artists, comedians, PR agents, marketing/sales persons, etc.

If you’re interested in finding out if you’re right or left brained I came across a test today for you to try. Check out the link below.

  1. Right braineded. All day e’r’ day can’t see ’em cuz the money in the way.

    • lol Right brain, what’s up! Speaking of which, that’s exactly why you should start off the story and then pass it along to be completed 🙂

  2. I am a bit of each–but I would say 75% right and 25% left – is this possible?

    • Yes, it is possible. The quiz results I received showed that I was over 85% left brained and the remaining percentage was right brained because of my creative and intuitive side.

  3. I was 73% right side and 28% left lol.
